This course follows the Cambridge iGCSE English Language syllabus and prepares students fully for the examination.
There are two possible exam pathways:
May/June sitting (main session)
October/November sitting (extended option)
Students do not need to decide this immediately. Many choose later in the year once progress is clearer.
The course develops all key skills required for the exam, including:
writer’s effect and language analysis, evaluation skills (new for 2027)
transactional writing (letters, speeches, articles)
creative writing
question analysis and exam technique
Teaching focuses on building confidence, clarity, and control, with structured guidance and regular practice.
Alongside weekly lessons, students complete regular study tasks and practice activities, ensuring that skills are developed steadily between sessions rather than only within the lesson itself.
The course begins in September.
All students receive the same teaching and course content. The difference lies in the level of feedback and guidance provided across the year.

Jenny, I feel so lucky that you were recommended to us. From the moment I spoke to you over the phone your enthusiasm and passion for teaching shone through. You gave my son the confidence to enjoy learning again in a safe space. He really enjoyed your lessons and he found the course really easy to work with and navigate. Thank you so much, we are so grateful. Emma parent, June 2024
Thank you Jenny for all your hard work this year. T has made so much progress and really enjoyed the literature and the lessons. We valued the wide range of revision resources so that he was able to find the best methods for him, your patience, and the extra lesson at the end to make sure his exam technique was solid in the section he found hardest. Thank you. Sophia, parent 2023
